I have a blog?

I keep forgetting that I have a blog.

I remember when I step into class and see everyone else working on their blogs. Then I become more preoccupied with changing the colors and fonts as opposed to actually writing content.

I find all the HTML jargon and code writing both fascinating and confusing.

I do know how to hyperlink things though. Name of Website

See? Hyperlink...

I can blog from my phone.
Sweet.

... and how I plan to get there.

I have finally figured out what I'm going to blog about: where I've traveled and where I want to travel.

Innovative, yes?

Here's the thing: while I realize this is not a novel concept, it is something I've always wanted to do. Odds of me working at a travel magazine where an editor pays me to travel, experience and write: slim to absolutely none, at least not any time in the immediate future. Odds of me wreaking havoc on my savings account and using my own, minimum wage funds to travel, experience and write: much better, if a lot more painful as I hand over a check larger than any amount I have ever received.

And because I am an English major, we have a metaphor rolling in this blog title as well. I'm about to graduate college with two degrees, a foreign language minor, four years of college newspaper experience under my belt, and absolutely no definite career plans to speak of. So from time to time, this blog will take a fun detour into quarter-life crisis land as I try to figure out where I'm going in my life, not just around the world.

So there we go. A two-fold commentary on where I'm going, where I've been, and you get to watch as I wallow in panic from time to time trying to figure out how to get there. And if that comedy sideshow doesn't interest you, well, at least I have some pretty pictures of Paris and Sydney.

Blog post number 2 conquered.

Now back to work.
